City Barrel Brewery
City Barrel Brewery sought new restaurant systems that didn’t compromise the aesthetic of the building or the adjacent tenants.
The project began with the challenge of modernizing an existing, old, multi-story building. The primary objective was to design restaurant systems that would seamlessly integrate with the building's aesthetic without causing any inconvenience to the neighboring tenants.
During the project's progression, our team worked closely with the shell building landlord and City Barrel tenants. This collaboration ensured the establishment of a high-quality kitchen and brewery processing system that met the expectations of all involved parties. One significant challenge we encountered was the placement of the kitchen exhaust system, make-up air system, and HVAC system. It was crucial to position these on a lower roof to prevent any disruptions to other tenants or the shell building's integrity.
Today, the building stands as an impressive industrial-themed space, home to City Barrel Brewery’s operations. City Barrel Brewery has since flourished in the KC area, establishing itself as a prominent micro-brew. Our relationship with the client has grown stronger over time. We've had the pleasure of hosting several happy hours at City Barrel Brewery and even celebrated one of our holiday parties there.
